How to Measure you Head Size.

To determine your hat size, follow these 4 simple steps:

Step 1.

Using either a soft tape measure or a piece of string – Measure the circumference around your head.

Step 2.

The tape should be level, in the centre of your forehead and just above the top of your ears. It is useful to have someone assist in holding the tape which should be adjusted to a comfortable fit and the measurement taken.

Step 3.

Then check our size chart above to determine your size.

Step 4.

If your size falls between two sizes, choose the next size up. You can always attach foam fillers (available for sale) to ensure a snug fit.

This belt is one of our top sellers and has a handy pouch for your multi tool or Leatherman to fit in to when working on the land or sea. Check exact measurements below but this belt is designed for the Leatherman Wave and other smaller models.

The Akubra 38mm wide Koala leather belt is ideal for outdoor work, a pouch is sewn onto this leather belt to hold a knife or multi-tool (Gerber or Leatherman) that is up to 4L x 1-1/2W x 3/4H.(10 cms long - 3.2 cms wide and 1 cm high). Leatherman Wave and many others can fit in to the pouch nicely.

BELT ONLY, NO KNIFE OR TOOL INCLUDED.

The pouch snaps shut. The metal buckle is sewn in place. "Akubra" is stamped on the leather keeper. Akubra belts are made from vegetable tanned bovine leather. 1-1/2 inches wide.

Australian Made, Australian Leather, Built for the harsh Australian Weather. Helpful hints on fitting : We suggest you order one size up on your normal waist measurement so as to get a good fit and have plenty of room for comfort.

Extra size will also enable you to have plenty of left over " tongue " on your belt loop. So if you are a size 34 waist, we suggest you order up to 36. If you a size 31 we suggest you order 34 .

It's always better to have a belt bigger rather than smaller.

About Akubra:

Akubra is an Australian hat manufacturer. The company is associated with bush hats made of rabbit fur felt with wide brims that are worn in rural Australia.

In 1874 Benjamin Dunkerley arrived in Tasmania from England and decided to start a hat making business in Hobart. His skills as a hatter were backed by his ability to invent machinery, and soon after his arrival he had developed a mechanical method of removing the hair tip from rabbit fur so the under-fur could be used in felt hat making. Previously this task had to be done by hand.

By 2015 Akubra has produced two million hats for the military.

Akubra Hats are still proudly Australian made in Kempsey.
